Marvel is causing a stir with its latest comics, and it looks like the scenario “The Strongest Avengers Team Save Multiverse” is finally unfolding. We’ve seen many different groups of heroes over the years, but this one is completely different. They travel far back in time to fix a mess that modern heroes just can’t handle. This is a bold move by the writers, and honestly, it’s pretty exciting to see how it all plays out.
Normally, the Avengers are the team of choice when it comes to saving the world. They have the best technology, the brightest minds, and know how to work together. Even when things get really weird—whether due to magic or aliens—they always find a way to gain the upper hand. But this latest threat is far greater than a typical villain’s attack. The multiverse is at stake.
There have been some wild versions of this team in the past. Jonathan Hickman had a lineup featuring characters like Hyperion and Captain Universe—essentially a team of gods. Then there was the Heroes Reborn version, where everyone had ramped up their powers to the highest level. There was even a team that simply monitored different timelines. But none of these groups possesses the raw, ancient power of the team we’re looking at now.
THE AVENGERS 1,000,000 B.C. RETURN TO FIGHT GODZILLA
In “Godzilla Conquers the Multiverse” #2, things quickly go downhill for the modern heroes. The “Avengers of Doom” do their best to stop Godzilla and Knull, but they’re soundly defeated. They lose Ghost Rider’s powers, Doctor Doom is defeated, and even Kang can’t rewind time to save them. That’s pretty brutal, to be honest.
Fortunately, Miles Morales manages to save himself. He grabs Kang’s severed arm—yes, you read that right—and it teleports him far into the past. He lands right in front of the Avengers from the year 1,000,000 B.C. They’re just chilling and meditating in the dirt. Even Odin is there. He actually knows who Miles is and what the War of the Giant Monsters is all about. This is a classic comic book twist that somehow makes perfect sense.

Why do these prehistoric heroes even stand a chance? Because they were created for the toughest era of all time. These people had neither cell phones nor fancy Stark Labs. They fought against cosmic beings and actual gods just to keep Earth alive in the dawn of time. Their powers are tied to the Earth, magic, and raw cosmic energy—exactly the kind of power they need.
If they can pool their powers effectively, they might actually be able to stop the villains. Firehair possesses the Phoenix power, which is perfectly suited to burn through Knull’s swarm consciousness. Odin has his lightning bolts, and the others have the physical strength to parry Godzilla’s atomic breath. The odds are extremely slim, but if anyone can do it, it’s this team.
