Unmatched Hellboy Board Game Announced – Everything You Need to Know
We all know that the Hellboy movie story is full of twists and turns. The first film wasn’t a huge success at first, but then the DVDs sold like hotcakes! This success convinced Universal Pictures to finance a sequel. Things looked promising. Unfortunately, the second film faced significant difficulties, as it was released just one week before “The Dark Knight,” making the competition extremely tough. Ultimately, the studio decided that producing a third film was too risky.
And that was the end of the series for a long time. Then came 2018, and David Harbour, known from “Stranger Things,” took over the role. Unfortunately, this version flopped at the box office. So, it seems we won’t be seeing any more Hellboy movies for a while. What a shame! But don’t worry! Fans of the scarlet hero can indulge their passion in other ways. If you want to have a great time with your friends and enjoy Hellboy’s adventures, I have some good news for you.
Restoration Games has announced some exciting news: Unmatched: Hellboy is now available for pre-order on the official website. If you haven’t played it yet, you absolutely should! Two to four players engage in epic battles with cool minifigures and cards. The series is very popular, and the company has already collaborated with some big names. Now Hellboy joins their ranks.
The development team has already revealed some details about the game: “Straight from the comics: The world’s greatest paranormal investigator inevitably fights for the title of ‘World Destroyer,’ unleashing a power never before seen in a game. Hellboy, Abby Sabine, Liz Sherman, and Baba Yaga engage in thrilling duels at B.P.R.D. headquarters or in the hellish realm of Pandemonium.”
They added further details: “Unmatched: Hellboy features four new heroes and a battlefield twice the size all with top-notch artwork and production. As with all Unmatched sets, heroes and battlefields can be combined with other Unmatched sets to create the most epic battles ever.”
Pre-ordering will get you a great bonus: a free set of glossy autographed cards. A truly fantastic offer! Currently, the game is only available for pre-order. An official release date hasn’t been announced yet, but it will be released in October 2026. Stay tuned! A larger bundle is also available, which includes additional promotional figures, a special game board, a playmat, and premium foil cards. It costs $100, which is more than the base price of $50. Whether it’s worth it depends entirely on how much you love the game!
