I’m really, really excited to tell you that we finally have marshals season 2 trailer to rave about! If you’re a fan of Taylor Sheridan’s gritty TV series, you know exactly how long we’ve been waiting for this. The first season was a huge hit for CBS, and now we finally know what’s next for Kayce Dutton.
Taylor Sheridan has become an absolute legend in the world of TV. His work on the “Yellowstone” saga is impressive, and now the spin-off “Marshals” is causing a sensation on CBS. Instead of sticking to the main storyline centered around the ranch, this series follows Kayce Dutton, played by Luke Grimes. He’s a former Navy SEAL who now works as a U.S. marshal keeping Montana safe.
Season 1 was a wild ride in the “case-of-the-week” format. But it ended with a massive cliffhanger involving Kayce and his son Tate, played by Breckin Merrill. Everyone was worried about what would happen to the two of them. Fortunately, CBS has just given us a first look at the new season, and it looks exciting.
The trailer was released just under a month before the big premiere on October 4, 2026. It’s great to see Kayce back in action after that terrifying finale. In the trailer, we hear Andrea Cruz (played by Ash Santos) call him a “chaos magnet.” She warns him to stay out of trouble, but we all know that’s not going to happen. It’s also confirmed that Tate is back with his father. Kayce is visibly nervous and is trying to make sure nothing bad happens to his child after Tom Weaver put her in danger.
Season 1 was the most-watched premiere on CBS since 2017. For this reason, the network didn’t wait long to renew the show. We’re actually getting a super-fast sequel, as the new episodes will premiere just four months after the end of the first season in May. Plus, a new face is joining the cast. Marque Richardson joins the team as Patrick Burnes, a U.S. Assistant Attorney.
As this new trailer shows, things are really heating up now. Kayce is still struggling with the loss of Monica and the trauma of his son’s kidnapping. He’ll team up with Dolly Weaver, played by Ellyn Jameson, to take down some truly dangerous crime bosses. It sounds like they’ll have their hands full.
There’s already speculation about a possible crossover event. As you may know, “Dutton Ranch” also ended with the kidnapping of a child, so it seems as though the two worlds could collide. Even though filming for “Dutton Ranch” hasn’t started yet, fans are full of hope. Regardless, the new season of “Marshals” is sure to have plenty of twists and turns that will thrill us when it premieres on October 4 at 8:30 p.m. ET.
