Season 3 of “Wednesday”: Jenna Ortega Reveals New Plot Details
I’m so excited to share some news with you about Season 3 of Wednesday ! Finally, we have news straight from Jenna Ortega herself. After the dramatic Season 2 finale in September 2025, we’ve all been eagerly waiting to see what happens next at Nevermore Academy. Netflix has been keeping things under wraps so far, but now we know a lot more.
Jenna Ortega recently spoke with Esquire and revealed the latest details. She said that the third season takes place during Wednesday’s senior year. The plot picks up about a year after the start of the second season. The series will focus heavily on the characters’ relationships with their family. Tensions between members of the Addams family are to be expected.
Jenna Ortega explained it this way: “In this season, especially since the kids are now in their senior year of high school, we’re dealing with more confrontational feelings regarding the family and what it means to be an adult and what kind of future you envision for your life. It’s only when you’re standing on the brink of adulthood that it slowly dawns on you: ‘Oh my God, well, maybe I do need to make a plan after all.’”
The series began when Wednesday was in tenth grade. In Season 2, she was in eleventh grade. Now she’s in twelfth grade. The series follows the school calendar, which is pretty cool. But now we have to ask ourselves: What happens after she graduates? We don’t know if the series will continue after high school or if this marks the end of her time at Nevermore. Either way—things are changing for her.
Timeline for Season 3 of Wednesday
The big theme this time around is coming of age. Wednesday has to figure out what she wants to do with her life after school. Even if there is a Season 4, this feels like a major turning point. It’s the end of a chapter for the Addams Family. Plus, the family drama is about to get even more intense. Wednesday and her mother, Morticia, have always had a difficult relationship. Now that Wednesday is growing up, they’re headed for a much more heated conflict.
A Preview of a New Addams Family Story
Things are about to get turbulent at the Addams’ house. Eva Green joins the cast as Ophelia Frump. She is Morticia’s long-lost sister. Her return is sure to cause a stir. Old secrets and family feuds will resurface. Since this is the Addams Family, you know there will also be some spooky, supernatural elements in play.
Filming began in February 2026. An exact release date on Netflix has not yet been announced. The series is expected to premiere in late 2027. The wait seems long, but I bet it’ll be worth it! I can’t wait to see how everything unfolds.
