Kit told Collider: “I’m absolutely thrilled. I’ve said a million times—for anyone who’s interested—that I’m a huge Potter fan. I have to be honest: He’s one of my favorite characters. So the offer to play him is a dream come true. I think it’s going to be so much fun. You know, I got to play him in the audiobooks.”
The series is also changing the look of Harry’s famous lightning-bolt scar. In the original movies, it was a simple lightning bolt. HBO wants something that looks a bit more realistic. It’s a small detail, but it shows that they’re really thinking about how everything will look on camera. The first season is expected to premiere on December 25. The second season will likely be released in 2027.
