The friendship between Gon and his buddy Killua is just as strong as the bond between the Elric brothers. They encounter some terrifying groups that make them think about what they’re truly willing to sacrifice to get what they want. The animation is beautiful, and the fights are incredibly intense.

D.GRAY-MAN IS A DARK STORY FULL OF TRAGIC BACKSTORIES
The story is set in a version of the 19th century. It’s quite gothic and dark. The main character, Allen Walker, is an exorcist. He fights against the Millennium Earl and these creepy monsters called Akuma. He has a special eye and an arm that has been converted into a weapon. It’s a tough life full of sadness and secrets.
It has that dark aesthetic you also see in Fullmetal Alchemist. There’s also a secret group called the Black Order. It acts similarly to the state military in Fullmetal Alchemist, and Allen begins to wonder if they’re actually the good guys. CODE GEASS MASTERS THE ART OF SUBVERTING HERO CLICHÉS
Here, the Holy Britannian Empire has conquered Japan. A man named Lelouch is an exiled prince who gains a special power called Geass. He becomes a masked rebel named Zero to fight against his own father. It’s insane.
The series features really clever military strategies and political power plays, just like Fullmetal Alchemist. Lelouch is very similar to an even more ruthless version of Edward. He’s super smart and uses his wits to win. The series puts the characters’ friendships to the test and forces them to make some really tough decisions. PSYCHO-PASS IS A CYBERPUNK SERIES THAT MAKES FANS THINK

“SAGA OF TANYA THE EVIL” TRANSFORMS A REINCARNATION STORY INTO AN UNDISPUTED CLASSIC
A cool, professional man dies and is reborn as a little girl named Tanya in a world that essentially resembles World War I, only with magic. She uses all her memories from her previous life to rise through the ranks of the Imperial Army. She really just wants to live a quiet life, but time and again, things get in her way.
The series blends magic with real military history. It’s very similar to the way the military uses alchemy in Fullmetal Alchemist. Tanya is very logical. She treats magic like science. It’s a dark, entertaining series with some really cool aerial battles.
MOB PSYCHO 100 HAS REACHED A PERFECT ENDING
This series is about a boy named Mob who possesses god-like psychic powers. He really just wants to be a normal middle school student. His mentor, Reigen, helps him achieve that. The series is funny, but it also delves deeply into coming of age and dealing with emotions.
Mob is humble and friendly, even though he could rule the world. In this respect, he’s very similar to Al. The series teaches you that your talents don’t make you better than others—that’s something Edward learned, too. It looks fantastic and goes straight to your heart.
STEINS;GATE IS A PERFECT TIME-TRAVEL ANIME
A self-proclaimed mad scientist named Rintaro Okabe discovers that his microwave can send text messages back in time. What starts as a fun experiment quickly turns into a nightmare. Mysterious groups start hunting them down because they want to control time.
It follows strict rules, just as alchemy has its rules. Every time they try to correct the past, things only get worse. It’s incredibly heartbreaking to watch Okabe try to save his friends. It’s an absolute masterpiece that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
