Hi, everyone! I have some big news for you today. Do you know that ancient story from 400 years ago, Paradise Lost? Well, it’s finally being made into a movie, and there’s now an official release date. To be honest, I’m already pretty excited to see how it turns out.
John Milton wrote the original poem back in the 17th century. It tells the story of Adam and Eve, how they were tempted, and how they ultimately had to leave the Garden of Eden. It’s a truly famous story.
For a long time, it was considered practically impossible to make a movie out of it. Why? Because the story is simply so extensive, and production would cost a lot of money. But as early as April 2026, an AI production company called Ex Machina announced that it would do it anyway.
“Paradise Lost” Finally Gets a Theater Release Date
So here’s the big update: According to the team at Deadline, the film “Paradise Lost” is officially set to hit theaters at Easter 2027. That’s not so far away after all! Ex Machina Studios has signed a deal with the Mayfair Media Group to handle the film’s theatrical release. Mayfair is run by a few people who used to work at Galaxy Theatres, such as Frank Rimkus and Rafe Cohen.
The plan is to screen the film in many major cities, including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, Toronto, Atlanta, Miami, and San Francisco. Mayfair will show the film on at least 1,500 screens. To make this possible, they are partnering with Galaxy Theatres and several other theater chains.
Apparently, these theater operators have already seen clips from the film and were so impressed that they committed to the project.
A New Way to Produce Movies
This is actually quite a big deal, considering which studio is involved. Ex Machina is a studio specializing in AI. This deal marks the first time an AI company has established such a partnership with movie theater chains. And they don’t plan to stop at just one movie. They aim to release four different projects in 2027. After that, they’re aiming for about six movies per year.
